Fender's Limited Edition Roasted '61 Strat Super Heavy Relic embodies everything that made 1961 such a special year, with some bad-to-the-bone modifications found only in the Fender Custom Shop that will entice the most discerning player. A super-heavy relic lacquer finish imparts the look and feel of a guitar that has relentlessly lit up stage after stage for many years. Its two-piece select alder body (ash on aged natural finish model) is roasted to create a rich dark color and to simulate a guitar that has aged with a decrease in wood moisture content and an increase in sustain.
