This year, my brother and I decided to give my Mam the surprise of a lifetime for her 60th birthday. It wasn't easy - we had to arrange a secret trip home to Ireland (we both currently reside in North America) without her knowing! To make the surprise even bigger, the two of us crafted up a fake "wish we could be there" video for her, telling her that there was a present waiting for her in the back garden sent from the both of us.

Not in a million years would she believe what was waiting for her in the box!
