My name is Chris Jenkins and I’m the Chief Operating Officer of Earth Treks climbing centers.
Earth Treks was founded in 1990 as an outdoor rock climbing school. We taught people how to climb on rocks and mountains and ice all over the world
Earthtreks is not just about climing inside, we’re also a yoga studio, a fitness facility, we teach outside, so we’re all about delivering excellent climbing experiences, but we also offer other elements of fitness.
We have indoor climbing centers, three of them in MD and one in CO and a 5th one on the way.
What inspires me about earthtreks is that everyone in this community we all (employees and customers) believe and love the community we’ve created.
As the COO, I’m a jack of all trades, so my average day will cover the spectrum of finance, personnel, so I’m talking to all sorts of people.”

When we were first introduced to GTB, we were having a hard time getting broadband Internet at our headquarters.”

We were able to change it remotely; didn’t have to be in the office. It was easy to do it on the fly; and our customers knew we weren’t open.
I feel in general that GTB provides a high level of personal care.”
