Tesla Camping in RV Campgrounds... my 4-day adventure to Bryce and Zion (HDR)

This video is about a road trip and RV Tesla Camping trip from Los Angeles to Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park in my Tesla Model 3. I drove for four days and covered 1,172 miles (1,886 km). I slept in the back of my car using Camp Mode and plugged in and charged up at RV campgrounds at night. I will give you lots of tips along the way.

I started my trip by packing my car. I made sure to bring all the essentials, including my Tesla Mobile Connector, which includes NEMA 5-15 and NEMA 14-50 adapters, and a TT-30 Adapter.
For the night, I stayed at Ruby's RV Campground, which has a 50-amp RV hookup.

The next day, I drove from Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park. I took the Zion-Mt. Carmel Scenic Drive and then stopped at the Zion Canyon Campground. For the night, I slept in my Tesla. I used my Camp Mode to keep the car cool and I was able to sleep comfortably.

The next day, I left Zion and headed back to Los Angeles. I stopped at the Primm, Nevada Supercharger and then the Barstow, California Supercharger. I arrived home after a long but rewarding road trip.

I would highly recommend this road trip to anyone who is looking for an adventure. The scenery is amazing, and the parks are full of things to see and do. I also found that it was very easy to charge my Tesla along the way.

Do not use generic TT-30 adapters. It MUST be made for charging an EV, and it should be able to communicate to the Tesla to reduce the charge rate to 24 amps prevent tripping a circuit breaker (or worse). The adapter from EVSE adapters does this for you and monitors the plug temperature as well should there be corrosion in the receptacle that causes overheating.
