1996 - 2002 GM OBS Truck Vortec Engine CSFI / SCPI Fuel Meter Body Injector Rebuild (Vortec V6 & V8)

Описание к видео 1996 - 2002 GM OBS Truck Vortec Engine CSFI / SCPI Fuel Meter Body Injector Rebuild (Vortec V6 & V8)

In this video we go over how to rebuild the spider fuel meter body assembly for the GM Central Sequential Fuel Injection (CSFI), also referred to by GM as the Sequential Central Port Injection (SCPI), fuel injection design. This 1990s fuel delivery spider design was used in the 4.3L Vortec V6 (4300 RPO L35 and LF6), the 5.0L Vortec V8 (5000 RPO L30), and the 5.7L Vortec V8 (5700 RPO L31) only. While this fuel injection spider design was later replaced with the GM MFI spider fuel injection system, CSFI / SCPI can still be quite reliable and dependable today, when fed with the appropriate quality fuels to prevent the buildup of carbon deposits. It is carbon buildup which causes all of the known problems with CSFI / SCPI systems.

The vehicle illustrated is a 1998 Chevrolet Cheyenne K2500 standard cab pickup truck with the 5.7L vortec V8 engine; but the procedure, parts, and techniques shown are applicable to any 1996 thru 2002 old body style (OBS) GM C/K truck GMT400 type such as the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Cheyenne, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, or GMC Yukon. This procedure is also applicable to many G and P vans of the same year range like the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana, as well as S/T trucks like the Chevrolet S10 Blazer, GMC Jimmy, and Oldsmobile Bravada.

Also applicable to some Holden branded GM trucks in Australia of this same time period with the same engines.
