This segment is for Section 6. Operational Plan
We have already moved through a significant amount of information. This section, detailing the Operational aspects of your company, will address how the day-to-day activities will happen, in real life.
First, we will begin with the Ownership and Management of the company.
In a previous video, we requested information regarding the existing ownership, management, and staffing. Therefore, we will make the assumption that this information has already been provided. If that has not been provided, please do so as quickly as possible.
Now, we will address the company staffing and organization.
In addition to the ownership structure, we need to write about the leadership and management of the company. Please list all leadership and management positions.
Details should include the title of the position, the person who will fill the position, if known, when the position will be filled. More specifically, will the position be filled from the first month you take ownership of the company or at a later date. If the position will be filled at a later date, please indicate when.
Presumably, the management or leadership position will be salaried. What will the annual salary be? If bonuses or profit sharing will be part of the compensation, please share those details. Will the compensation include benefits? If, yes, please indicate what benefits you will be providing.
Turning now to the staff positions, Will you have salespersons, R&D staff, Factory staff, administrative personnel or other team members? Every company has a unique staffing structure. Please share what yours will be. Just as with the leadership and management, please provide: What will the annual salary or hourly compensation be? If bonuses or profit sharing will be part of the compensation, please share those details. Will the compensation include benefits? If, yes, please indicate what benefits you will be providing.
We have provided an excel spreadsheet to detail your staffing roster and compensation.
Please complete and return this form.
If you have an org chart, please share that with us.
Also, what are your hours of operation? You may have certain hours for some staff and other hours for other staff members. Please share those details.
Some companies have unique production facilities or hire contract manufacturers. Will you have your own manufacturing facility or outsource manufacturing? If you are a manufacturer, please share what your production process is. Will you have one shift, two shifts, or work around the clock?
Do you provide shipping?
What is the production capacity of the facility or manufacturing partner? How much lead time is required from when an order is received to when the order can be fulfilled and be shipped to the customer?
If you have technical drawings of products you manufacture, please provide them.
If you have images showing the production facility, or place where services are provided, please provide those.
If there will renovations to the facility, please detail the renovations, with pricing.
This information will give us what we need to complete this section of your Business Plan. If anything else is needed, we can discuss it during the Business Planning Sessions.
