How to enamel a flat door like a professional. This takes some experience and is not for the absolute newbie. Be warned! It is imperative you use a 'Mohair' roller' when rolling oil base enamel paints.

A mohair roller is a very short nap roller made from mohair. It allows the painter to apply enamels without putting on too much from the start and also enables the painter to spread the paint out very easily.

Painting with enamels isn't for everyone. If your system (water base or oil base) is oil base and you want to change from oil to a water then you must sand and undercoat (using general purpose oil base undercoat) before you top coat with a water base paint.

Don't worry about the undercoat being oil base, it's nothing like painting with enamels. :)

Please don't just apply a coat of water base paint over any oil finish. You're asking for trouble!
