Rai Manavi is a well-known animal rights activist and dog welfare advocate who has been actively working for the protection of community dogs in Delhi. Through ground-level work, awareness campaigns, and public protests, she has become a strong voice for people who believe in coexistence, compassion, and constitutional animal welfare laws.

At her live speech at Jantar Mantar, Rai Manavi spoke passionately about what she described as a deeply flawed interpretation of a Supreme Court order related to community dogs in Delhi. According to her, the order is being misused and misinterpreted by local authorities and RWAs to justify illegal removal, relocation, and harassment of street dogs and feeders. She emphasized that Indian law clearly recognises community dogs as legal residents of their territories, and that arbitrary removal actually increases aggression and public safety risks.

Rai Manavi also highlighted how Animal Birth Control (ABC) and vaccination—not displacement—are the only scientific and lawful solutions. She questioned why civic bodies fail to implement existing animal welfare rules while blaming dogs instead. Her speech strongly called out the lack of accountability, misinformation being spread among citizens, and the emotional trauma faced by feeders.

Through interviews and podcasts, she continues to urge people to stand up for voiceless animals, understand the law correctly, and demand humane governance. Her message was clear: saving Indian dogs is about justice, legality, and humanity, not conflict.
