2022 Beta 500 RR-S First Impressions

Worth the wait for this bike. I completed a couple of oil changes after 3 and 8 hour marks. A few mods and deletes. I’m a tall rider so raised the bars a bit, moved them them to the forward position and the lowered the foot pegs 1/4 inch and back with Fastway pegs. Cleaned up the rear end using the subfairing from the 200 RR and hid the turn signals.

I’m coming from a 2005 CRF450X so the fuel injection, changing maps on the fly, reduced weight are great. The CRF has been piped, jetted, suspension revalved, resprung etc and the usual mods you do when riding it over a few years so it was it a drastic difference in power or suspension but then again I am comparing the stock beta suspension to suspension that has had a lot of work done to them on the CRF450X.

Looking forward to a lot more time in the saddle. Having a road legal bike means it’s much quicker to jump and ride 15 min to off-road riding area, blast around for 30 minutes and get back before lunch is over.
