This week I've decided to share a folk song Dad and I wrote recently about a North Devon folk tale. Kate Lyall apparently used to live in Clovelly Village down in what is thought to be the oldest house in the village by the Habour. The house is now called Crazy Kate's Cottage. Apparently she used to watch her husband fishing from her balcony but one day a storm blew in and he was horrifically drowned in front of her eyes. She was driven mad by the grief and the trauma of what she saw, hence she became known by the villagers as Crazy Kate. One day she decided she'd go to meet her husband, she put on her bridal gown and walked into the sea to join him. She has apparently haunted the house ever since.

It's a really sad but compelling tale. I just hope the song does it justice as I love a good ghost story! Is a song about a ghost story called a ghost song? Who knows? Let me know what you think of it and if you enjoyed it please give it a like and a share so more people can see it.
