TSDZ2 - It’s all about the Cadence

Описание к видео TSDZ2 - It’s all about the Cadence

Everyone loves the TSDZ2 but I always get questions regarding the maximum cadence. We do know that with the stock firmware the motor won’t do more than about 90rpm which is ok for cruising to work but not so good for riding off-road trails. This is where the open-source firmware comes in. With a little effort it’s possible to get really good cadence out of this motor which makes it comparable with more expensive motors like the Bosch CX.

In this video I perform some tests with the 36v motor using 10s (36v) and 14s (52v) batteries. I also test the 36v motor type and 36v experimental motor type setting in Config menu zero - three. Remember the 48v motor is wound differently and generally will have more torque and will run cooler at its nominal voltage, there is also an experimental mode in the Opensource firmware to help that motor also achieve a higher cadence.

I am running the KT-LCD3 display but Casainho has also included 2 new displays and there is a seperate Marco version which can use your standard display.

If you want to skip straight to the Cadence results you will find a comparison table at the end of this video. Enjoy!

I am using version 20 beta 1 firmware. See the Wiki here.

Special thanks to the developers Casainho and Buba. The development thread on endless sphere is located here.

I also have a Facebook group if you wanted to discuss ebikes in general or you have other questions about the tsdz2.
