Personally, I decided to play RS3 for now. But both games are very good and I very regularly hop over to OSRS to play as well and do some different things as there's a lot of content that's exclusive to OSRS especially as you approach the endgame. But I prefer the more streamlined higher QoL of RS3 as I plan to play fairly casually. Here are some useful resources and links:

If you plan to play OSRS I strongly suggest playing through the community client Runelite, which you can download here: https://runelite.net/

If you want to look something up the wikis for RS are great, you can search the RS3 wiki directly in the game via the chat by clicking the "Wiki" button.
