Even the best drone flight plans can fall apart when nature doesn’t cooperate.

In this short video, we take you behind the scenes of a recent client job site visit in Northern Arizona during the spring wind season. We spent days preparing a full flight plan for still images, video, and mapping — only to be met with extreme winds that interfered with everything.

Our DJI Mavic 3E gave us multiple wind warnings during flight attempts, limiting our altitude and coverage. On the other hand, our DJI Avata handled the gusts much better with low-altitude FPV-style video captures.

This is a real example of what it’s like to work in the field with clients and how unpredictable conditions can change the course of your day. In the end, you adapt, adjust your tools, and still try to deliver.
