Описание к видео Sonic Blast - (Sega Master System) 1/1

This is an official port of the Game Gear version of Sonic Blast, which doesn't have anything to do with Sonic 3D Blast. I prefer to play the Master System port because of the resolution.

There isn't much positive to say about this game unfortunately. I will credit the graphics. Absolutely amazing for the console it's on.
The main problem I have with this game is that the physics system is basically Sonic 4 on the Master System without the homing attack. So momentum doesn't count for much, and it feels slow.
I picked Sonic over Knuckles because it's a bit more challenging. The level design is exactly the same, but I would rather play with Sonic's Double Jump over Knuckles' glide/climb.

Using the Double Jump coupled with the awful spin dash was the most fun I had with this. It was an OK experience over all, but too much was just OK.
The level designs were pretty bad outside placing secrets. There's a big reliance on tubes in almost every level.
I did enjoy Red Volcano and Silver Castle quite a bit, though. Again, these levels still have a downside outside the main gameplay. In this case Red Volcano has the lifts you spin on from Lava Reef, but they're so SLOW here and they're not visually incorporated as well.
The boss is pretty naff, as most of them are.

I don't want to talk about Blue Marine Zone. It's TERRIBLE. I like most of the water levels in Sonic games (most notably Labyrinth and Hydrocity) but this takes the cake for worst. The slow, unresponsive controls are amplified and the tube puzzles are too. The boss is awful. Trying to hit it at this speed is bad enough, but figuring out that you need to get the Harpoons aimed at the floor to get a bubble to be released (which is hard to grab) is the most annoying part.

Silver Castle was relatively fun, I didn't see much fault with it at all. The teleporter maze and the puzzle involving moving platforms were fun, and I didn't dislike the spike wall section, though it was a bit overused. The boss was actually pretty decent as well. The way to win is basically to start moving in the opposite direction after you hit the boss and when the arm that's going to shoot is revealed you can adjust.

The final boss is also better than most in this game. You need to land on the bottom platform to stop the top half than bounce on top of the top half. It's not a hit sponge like most Master System final bosses either. The second part has the bottom platform also moving, but that isn't much harder.

The Emeralds are easy enough to get in this game, you need to find big rings in Act 2 (Act 1 is just a regular special stage) and grab the required rings to get the Emerald. Some of the springs/speed pads are traps designed to make you not hit the rings. The perspective is probably the biggest opponent here, gauging the height of certain rings can be a pain.

I'm not sure how the ending differs between having all 5 pieces of the Emerald, and not having them. I don't particularly see myself playing this again. Maybe a Knuckles playthrough without the Emeralds, but I wouldn't subject you guys to that.

Overall, I would recommend this to a diehard Sonic fan for one playthrough. It's not that long, so it has that going for it over some of the other games people don't enjoy in the series. Or you could just watch this.
