David Fleig was a neighbor on Locust Drive, Peters Twp PA.
He was always very active and interesting.
Across from the Fleig house was the Workmaster's House.
Bruce Workmaster (son and peer from high school) lived there with his dad, mom and many dogs.
Bruce's mom was from Germany I think.
The large dogs in the house - one was called Thunder and due to the German accent to english the name came out as Dunder.
At any rate Bruce's dad was a volunteer fire fighter at the Peters Twp Fire Dept.
The Workmasters did not have a paved driveway but it was "red dog" which are stones and gravel from the steel making process aka waste product?
The Father - was nicknamed by David Fleig as the HEAD as he THOUGHT he was the head of the
fire department.
The HEAD drove a snappy looking blue ford Torino.
And when HEAD came home he would punch the gas to get the Ford Torino UP the red dog
driveway up in to the garage.
All these driveways were steep.
And then the red dog would be picked up and hurled at bullet speed (it seemed)
at the Fleig's large picture window in their living room (across the street: Locust Drive) breaking the large window at the Fleig's house (again and again).
Somehow this situation got worked out one way or another.
