Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern recently led a New Zealand delegation to #Tokelau, the first NZ PM to visit the island nation in 15 years.

Here are a few highlights from the trip including visits to Atafu, Nukunonu and Fakaofo atolls.

The PM also met with the Taupulega (Village Council), Fatupaepae (Women’s Committee) and the Aumaga (Male Labouring Workforce), which helps NZ understand the issues that are important to the people of Tokelau.

Tokelau, one of the world’s smallest and most isolated nations, is part of the Realm of New Zealand (which also includes Niue and Cook Islands) and its people are New Zealand citizens. #MFATPacific #PacificNeighbours
