Is it a Norlin or Not? 1987 Gibson Les Paul Custom White Review + Demo

Описание к видео Is it a Norlin or Not? 1987 Gibson Les Paul Custom White Review + Demo

Many guitar forums consider the Norlin Era for Les Pauls to last from 1969-1987. Gibson was actually sold to it's new owner prior to '87, but the specs of these Les Pauls didn't really change for a few years after the acquisition. Whether or not you personally consider 1987 a Norlin year is kind of personal preference, but I personally do not consider this very late '87 to be. I view it as one of the earliest forms of the modern custom - similar to an early 90s Gibson before Headstock and Gibson logo redesign.

These late 80s and early 90s Les Pauls really are great guitars. They are modern feeling in playability, but still have a nice 'vintage-ness' to them that makes them extra cool.

The white Les Paul Custom is the Randy Rhodes Custom. His was likely a 1974. This 1987 definitely have a nice creamy vibe.
