Dialogue Between Two friends about the importance of travelling in education.
Abir : Hi, how are you?
Sam : Hello, I am good. What about you?
Abir : I am really excited about our excursion to Darjeeling next week. Aren’t you?
Sam : yeah me too! I have already started packing for the trip. The very thought of travelling makes me refreshed.
Abir : Exactly! Same with me. You know, I think travelling should be an integral part of education. Otherwise it will be incomplete.
Sam : True! Travelling removes boredom from our daily routine. It makes us energetic. We get to know about a lot of new things. Isn’t it?
Abir : Yes! Whatever we study or learn in school becomes alive when we go to visit those places or see those things with our eyes. Our curiosity increases and broadens our horizon. Our first-hand knowledge helps us to understand things better.
Sam : Moreover, the experience of travelling is thrilling. We can meet new people, know about their culture, habits, life styles. It definitely shapes our outlook of the world.
Abir : That is why I think schools and colleges should take their students to excursions once a year. Visit to historical places gives information about ancient times, places, artefacts, sculptures etc.
Sam : It builds a confidence in the students. They become smart when they go out and mix with people. This experience helps them in their education.
Abir : You have made a very valid point. I also think that travelling should be an integral part of education. By the way, It was nice talking to you.
Sam : Same here. See you next week then. Bye!
