Hey lovelies!
I hope you’re managing to keep safe and sane during this pandemic.
I figured since many places are closed right now, especially beauty parlors, it would be helpful to show you guys how to so some self-care and grooming, or just pick up a new skill.
I’ve been using sugar wax for almost a year now but at Uni I used to make it on the stove, so here’s a tutorial on how to do it in the microwave. Which is how I recently learnt to make it.

*What you need- The sugar wax

INGREDIENTS:
• Lemon juice (bottled or fresh)
[Alternatives: Lime/Vinegar] {Acidifiers}
*no other citrus juice

• Sugar (white or brown)
*no coconut sugar

• Water

• Coconut oil

EQUIPMENT:
• Measuring utensils

• Bowl

• Oven safe container (glass measuring cup/bowl)

• Mixing utensil (tablespoon)

• Oven glove

• Bowl with ice water

• Storage container


*Making the sugar wax

• 0.5 cups sugar
• 2tbsp lemon juice |
• 2tbsp water | = 0.25 cup liquid

• 3-4 minutes in the microwave
• 30 second intervals
• 600 watts

WARNINGS:
-Be careful, you’re working with boiling sugar
-Let it cool before applying on skin
-Don't burn the sugar, if you do, start over
-Trim any hair longer than eyelash length before applying
