Hey everyone. I visited Hastings arriving January 10, 2019. Booked two nights at Claremonte Motor Lodge, in Hastings. NZ$340 for two nights, which isn't bad. Nice spacious studio with couch! Love the marble purple sink in the bathroom (or shower room). Has a nice big shower and good tiling. I also went to SPLASH PLANET, it's like the only water park in New Zealand, with water slides and swimming pools, and a train too as well as bumper boats!!

The kitchen is a good size. Reception is open first thing in the morning and closes before you can call it Night Life.

Located on a main road next to an ice-cream place and 3 minutes walk from Mc Donalds and 4 minutes walk from Pak N Save.

Sorry for the kind of late upload, well.... it's not that late, only by 2 months... Been busy with my schedule.

Hastings is one of the hottest places in NZ, with summer temperatures averaging in the 30's (Degrees Celsius). Even got sunburn even though I had sunscreen. NZ Cancer Society sunscreen. I've changed to a different sunscreen, Oasis.

I also got my 1st car from Hastings too, Toyota Hastings. See my video on my channel from October 2018. Mind you flights from Wellington to Auckland are, gasp, a lot CHEAPER, than flights from Wellington to Hastings (Hawkes Bay/Napier Airport - Air New Zealand). I flew up since Hybrid cars were in high demand with the increasing price of fuel in NZ. But rural areas charge a lot cheaper than Wellington and Auckland.
