1) The stock market is for the rich.

This is not so. The rich are wealthy because they invest not because they leave their money in a savings account.

Also, information today is a lot more easily accessible by the public and also there are many platforms that offer commission-free trades.

2) You need to be financially savvy

If you are diligent in at least understanding if a company is making money, increasing in sales, and you understand the business you are thinking of investing in you should be fine.

If not, hire a broker to explain it. It may cost a little, but it will be worth every penny in the long run.

3) Analysts are always right

Analyst focuses on the here and now and not so much in the future. think of them as a computer providing information that is already known. However, you are the higher intelligence. use that to investigate if a company has a high potential to outperform.

4) Stocks will go up eventually

Just because a chart shows that a company has been in a decline for the longest time does not mean it will rebound. that company for all we know is lossing or going out of business.

Same in the opposite direction. Just because it is climbing, does not mean it will keep climbing.

5) The stock market is for quick cash.

This is not the case. Sometimes you may time the market just right but more often than not you just got lucky.

Do not just gamble DO THE RESEARCH if you wish to win.

No one can predict a stock in a short time frame.
