চুকনগর, ২০ মে ১৯৭১। বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ইতিহাসে সবচেয়ে বড় গণহত্যা হয়েছিল এখানে। প্রায় ৪ মাইল এলাকাজুড়ে মাত্র ৬ ঘণ্টার গণহত্যায় শহীদ হন ১০ হাজার মানুষ। সেই সব শহীদের রক্তে খুলনার ডুমুরিয়া উপজেলার চুকনগরের দুই নদী পরিণত হয়েছিল রক্তস্রোতে।

Chuknagar: Where 10 thousand people were massacred in 6 hours

Chuknagar, May 20, 1971. It is the site of the largest genocide in the histroy of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. In an area spanning 4 miles, 10 thousand people were massacred in 6 hours. The two rivers in Chuknagar in Dumuria Upazila, Khulna turned red with the blood of those martyrs.
