ASTRO A50 HEADSET MIC FIX

I got a pair of Astro a50's and I was disappointed that the mic was not working in game or party chat. I could not figure it out and I was researching on YouTube and reddit and there were no quick fixes. Here is what worked for me and hopefully it will for you too.

Go to settings - system - sound - sound panel - playback

MAKE SURE YOUR HEADPHONES ARE THE DEFAULT DEVICE

Then go to recording, and disable the "line" recording device. This will ensure that it does not automatically switch over to that when you do not want it to, because it will create further issues.

Then go to your headset microphone - properties - levels

MAKE SURE IT IS NOT MUTED!!!

Then apply the changes and it should fix the issue.
