If you want to know how to let go of resentment after a breakup, there are really a few simple things to understand.

First, holding on to resentment is NOT going to help you in the long run. You may think that your resentment toward your ex is only in the privacy of your own mind and that it has no effect on your future dating or relationship life, but you would be wrong.

I've seen many people drift into some very dark places when the hold on to that feeling of anger or resentment.

The first step in knowing how to let go of anger toward your ex is to realize that you are holding on to the past and you are dragging it into your current and future interaction with men or women.

In that respect, your ex still has power over you. they've won. And you let them win.

I don't usually speak like that, but I know that there are probably lots of people that will watch this video that are still choking on their own anger and resentment.

And I need to speak this way to them in order to wake them up from the righteousness and false sense of empowerment that they feel in holding on to that resentment.

The secret is really knowing how to forgive your ex for what they did. You don't need to love what they did, but you need to separate what they did from who you are.

The truth is that what they did probably had more to do with who THEY are more so than it had to do with who YOU are.

That's how to forgive your ex and move on. Learn the lessons from the past. Let go. And be happy now.
