PENTAX ME SUPER Winding Mechanism Fix + Walkthrough

This is how I fixed my PENTAX ME Super winding issues / jammed advance lever / shutter not firing. I thought I should upload this in case it is useful to anybody, apologies if it is incoherent. Disclaimer: I am not a camera expert, this is simply how I fixed my PENTAX.

Long story short - open up the back by removing the three screws. Check if there are any obvious issues with the mechanism by comparing it to the working mechanism in the video. If so, correct them. If not, remove the advance linkage and manually GENTLY move any mechanisms which may be jamming the movement. Keep doing this until the mechanism starts to move freely again + shutter fires normally.

Sewing machine oil can be helpful if anything is majorly stuck. It took me over half an hour just to untwist that piece of metal holding the advance linkage in place.

I reattached the broken piece of metal just with some superglue and that worked fine.
