Sistrum, Lansing Women's Chorus was founded in 1986 by a small group of lesbians. We pride ourselves on continuing to be a safe and welcoming place for all people to make and enjoy this music regardless of gender, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, or ability.

Composed of women from around the greater Lansing area, we perform music that inspires and speaks to our values of equality, justice, peace, and freedom for all people. We pride ourselves on advocating for social justice and regularly performs works by women composers and composers of color.
