A little demo of eurorack module Antumbra ROT8 - DIY
WARNING. it's not music, only blipps&blooops. poor quality video. warned.

Pt1 - basic functions

0:38 button B to change directions (led2, 3, 4, 5)

1:49 gate page. gate out to vco pitch cv in (led1 & led6 off)
1:58 gate lenght (button A - led1 on)

ROT8: Analog sequencer, no quantization. You can select (rear jumper) 5V (more precise) or 12V (wider range) as step max cv out. (I used 5V in this video)
Digital brain, it means a lot of mappable functions (and it's possible to update firmware, but probably not a real need)

PT.1: It needs a clock input to step advancement. Or you can manually (pot) or cv select the step.
A stupid sequence, 4 step going up, 4 step going down.
Bottom led (1 to 6)& buttons (A, B and C) (a summary, only to explain what it happens in the video, please refer to user manual that is more clear, precise and informative)
The middle button (B) selects direction, led2: forward; led3: backward, led4: pendulum, led5: random.
It can also be controlled by dedicated unipolar cv input (0-5V I think) as an alternative or addition, to add movement.
Glide (left) pot
Now, you work on 3 pages, with extreme left (activate by button A) and right (activated by button C) led showing where you are:
off / off - gate page. select the steps that you want give a high value at gate out (to pitch cv in for rhythm pitch jumps)
on / off - gate lenght page. sets the lenght of all gate steps
off / on - you select the number of steps of the sequence.

PT.2 advanced features:
from gate page (off / off)
long press step's (1-8) button: you are in step setting, you can set, exclusively for long pressed step
the number of repetition (step buttons);
the trigger behaviour (B button) (button A or C to exit).
from any page
long press button A Tune Page sequence is stopped you can tune each pot individually
long press button B assign menu cv & right pot (parameters are Steps 1-8; Gate Lenght; Sequence Lenght; Pause)
long press button C Sequence Lenght. Force reset at none, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 steps (because of possible repetitions)
long press of button A + C to reset rot8 to default settings
