Israeli Police Minister Moshe Shahal gave the Palestinians two
weeks to close their offices in Jerusalem. He vowed on Tuesday
(15/8) to close the offices of the Palestinian Authority in the
"Orient House" because they threatened the city's status as
Israel's united capital. Asked to explain further, threw up a
bureaucratic smokescreen. He said the offices are to be closed
because they don't have an "operating license" from the Jerusalem
municipality.
