Coordinate Geometry is the part of maths where we study points, lines, and shapes using numbers on a graph.

The Coordinate Plane / Cardiac Plane
It has two axes:
X-axis → horizontal line
Y-axis → vertical line

They meet at Origin (0, 0).

Coordinates of a Point
A point is written as (x, y)
x → distance from Y-axis
y → distance from X-axis

Example:
Point (3, 2) → move 3 units right, 2 units up

Quadrants
Quadrant Sign of (x, y)
I (+, +)
II (−, +)
III (−, −)
IV (+, −)
