🧬What is continuous variation. What is discontinuous variation? What are examples of continuous variation and discontinuous variation? What is the difference in characteristics of continuous variation and discontinuous variation?

Variation is the differences between members of the same species.

Humans are all members of the species Homo sapiens, but our characteristics still vary.

Variation is the differences in the characteristics of individuals in a population. It can be due to genetics, the environment, or both.

Examples of human variations controlled only by genes include eye color and blood
group. If you have blood group A it is because you have the alleles for this characteristic. Genetic variation is something that you were born with, and nothing can change it. Some variation is due to the environment, or lifestyle of the organisms.
Examples in humans are hair
length, your accent, as this is linked to where you live and if you have any piercings, tattoos, or scars. These are characteristics that you acquire throughout your
life.
