Pooh to Tabo Spiti Valley
This is the day we started for the actual adventure of Spiti Valley as we started our ride from Pooh on our 4th day. The weather in pooh was cloudy and had an amazing view from the rooftop area of our stay at Pooh, it was by the name of Om Hotel, here is the link of their instagram account and location. https://www.instagram.com/omhotelpooh...

We started our ride with a briefing where I guided the International riders about the terrain we were expecting. I also made them aware of the BRO (Border Roads Organization ) as the roads we all ride on are made and Managed by the Indian Army BRO team. It is important for international people to know about our hard working BRO making our way up to the beautiful Himalayas.

We kicked off from Pooh at nine thirty in the morning, we refuelled our motorcycles. It's important to refill as Pooh has the last petrol pump and you won't find any fuel pump till kaza.

We reached khan, where this beautiful confluence point of two rivers Spiti River and Satluj River. Took some great pictures and spent a good time with the team.

Climbed Nako, got a first view of the entire White mountains of Nako village Spiti Valley.
We didn't stop at Nako village as we will be staying at Nako while returning back.

We reached Gue Monastery at Gue Village spiti, which is a 10 km detour from the main road to tabo. Believe us the weather at the Gue Monastery was very chilled and the entire valley was covered by black Clouds. It was nearly -1C at the Gue Monastery. I was literally shivering out of the cold there. There is a small tea shop at the Gue Monastery owned by some locals. We had Sea Buckthorn berry tea there along with some Dumplings and maggie.
We left Gue Monastery as the weather got uglier and dark at around two at noon.
We could also stay in Gue Village however our stays were pre booked at Tabo.

We came back to the main road and started our ride towardsTabo, crossing Hurling and some picturesque landscapes of Spiti Valley. There were shooting stones, heavy winds and bad weather all the way however we made it safely to Tabo.

Total time we took from Pooh to Tabo was 7 hours including several halts.

Tabo Village: I fell in love with the place when I first came here back in 2021, a peaceful place not at all chaotic. The high mountains around the main town, the color of the sky, the authentic food, the traditional homes, the Tabo Monastery will make you fall for this place too.

The next day ride would be to Kaza via Dhankar monastery, do follow me and Subscribe the channel. Please note this is the Spiti valley road trip latest video.
