Pulsar is a shuttle water roller coaster in the Belgian amusement park Walibi Belgium . The roller coaster represents an investment of 8.5 million euros and is therefore the most expensive attraction in Belgium .

Pulsar was built by MACK Rides and is the world's first Power Splash .

Pulsar is an energy source that is locked in an old warehouse , after which the station building is themed.

There are two pre-shows in the queue, which passes through the station building.

The roller coaster train is launched three times, twice backwards (then it rolls backwards) and once forwards. The launches are getting higher and higher. At the end the train makes a splash when rolling backwards, when rolling forwards for the first time and rolling backwards not because the water level in the "tray" around the attraction can be regulated.

In Walibi this is done by means of a valve system that can be opened so that the water level in the tank rises in a very short time to the same level as the water level of the lake where the attraction is located. After the splash, the tank is partially pumped empty again for the next ride.

Although Pulsar is a shuttle roller coaster , it uses two trains (boats) to maintain a reasonable capacity. This was realized with a track that can rotate on a turntable in the station. While people can get on and off in one boat, the second boat makes the journey. The disc can rotate 180° and always changes direction. The intention is that a boat can depart every 75 seconds.

In addition, there is a single riders line at the attraction. This should guarantee that the boats are always fully filled. If these conditions are met, the attraction can theoretically handle 950 people per hour.
