Sometimes when you share a video on WhatsApp, it looks blurry.

In other words, the video quality is lower than the original one.

This is not surprising, as WhatsApp compresses videos shared over its platform.

WhatsApp does this to save time and bandwidth when videos are uploaded to its servers.

The recipient will also take less time and bandwidth to download videos.

What if a recipient wants to see a full resolution original-quality video?

How do you send him one?

What if your full-resolution video file exceeds the WhatsApp upload limit of 16MB?

Worry not as there are ways to send videos above 16MB and even above 100MB.

Method 1 - Share the Video File as a Document.

In Document mode, you can share video files up to 100MB.

As long as your video file size is less than 100MB, you get to share it without losing quality.

Here are the steps to share your video as a document in WhatsApp.

First, move your video to the documents folder on your phone.

This is because WhatsApp may not allow you to browse your video folder in document mode.

Go to your My Files app on your phone.

Choose videos.

Select your video file.

Click on the 3 dots and choose Move.

Choose Internal storage.

Select Documents.

Tap on Done.

Your video file is now transferred to the Documents folder.

Now, let's try uploading the video as a document.

Go to your WhatsApp chat and select a recipient.

Next tap on the paper clip icon.

Select documents.

By default, your document files will shown.

Type .mp4 in the search box to bring up your video files.

Then select it.

Tap send.

Your video file begins uploading.

Notice that the video file above 16MB gets uploaded without a problem.

Your video file has been sent in full resolution without loss of quality.

But what if your video file size is above 100MB?

You can share it through Google Drive.

Select your video file and tap on share.

Choose Drive.

Select the folder and tap on Save.

Go to Google Drive and choose your uploaded video file.

Click on the 3 dots.

Choose copy link.

Go back to WhatsApp and paste the link.

The video link is now shared.

The person receiving it can now download and view your video without quality loss.
