Cabo de rama fort is famous for its beautiful natural hilly view of seaside and great sunset. This places has attracted many bollywood Filmmaker too for there shooting location. Movie like Dhoom and Malang were shot here.

History:
Cabo de Rama for the first time connects the history of Ramayana. According to tradition, during their 14 years of exile, Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Lakshmana, all lived here. This is how the castle got its name. However, the local rulers of Soonda built a fortress, which they used to command from here. So, all of this makes it a historical monument in India.

The castle spreads across 180,000 sq.m. and built of laterite rock. But after the Portuguese arrived in Goa in 1763, they conquered it by defeating the local kings. They were captivated by the huge carpet as it boasted of its beautiful coastal land and the Arabian Sea.

Soon, the Portuguese emperors undertook the task of restoring the Cabo de Rama Fort to modernize it and make it more remarkable. They also used it as a military base and as a prison later. As usual, known to the Portuguese, they also built a church dedicated to St.Anthony inside the castle grounds.

Blue lagoon in the beach is really the best place for kayaking for those people who are beginners and scares of drowning. kayaking in the ocean is really difficult for non swimmers because they are scared of drowning but in the lagoon which is just 3 feet of water level will give you same thrill of kayaking in south goa but with safer options.
