Restoration of Rusty Vices + Invention of the Rotary Mechanism

Описание к видео Restoration of Rusty Vices + Invention of the Rotary Mechanism

I bought this vise 5 months ago, for $70, they certainly looked terrible, but I liked their construction, and the fact that they are made of metal, these wonderful vices were made in the German Empire" (Deutsches Reich) Heuer Primus was made around 1927 by 1938 year.
Of course, there was a lot of work on them, so first of all I removed the old paint and rust. I decided to polish the jaws of the vices to a mirror shine, as I will use them in my restoration projects (Works) in the future.
For polishing and cleaning the screw and other small parts, I used a homemade machine from a screwdriver. The vise did not have a rotary mechanism, which is often needed for work, so I decided to make it using oak boards, an old bearing found in the shed. I turned the locking spindles myself on his home-made machine with brass rod 16 in diameter.
Before assembling the rotary mechanism, I covered the oak planks with hard wax oil, which gave it more richness and a facial appearance.
I think my work on these wonderful vices turned out very well.
