Esri's newly released a deep learning model called Text SAM. This model gives you 🧙 magical powers to run a DL model that will detect objects from imagery using text prompts. You can prompt things like:
✈️Find airplanes
🚗Detect cars
🏊Identify pools
Text SAM deep learning model! 👈 Being able to type in a word -- "trees", "airplane", "car", anything! -- and run a deep learning model to identify them without having to do your own training??
It's extremely easy to use too:
1. Verify you have the Deep Learning Libraries installed on your python environment in ArcGIS Pro.
2. Open "Detect Objects Using Deep Learning" geoprocessing tool.
3. Load the Text SAM Model into the tool and whatever image you want to identify from.
4. Type in the thing you want to identify in the "text_prompt" parameter...
5. And then RUN!
