Mass in right groin. Clinical evaluation showed reducible right inguinal mass – suspected hernia and sent for ultrasound for confirmation

Linear probe used.
Axial sections acquired craniocaudally from inguinal ligament level to scrotum along the direction of the inguinal canal

Report: A well-defined fairly homogeneous echogenic content is seen mobile to pressure occupying the entire length of the inguinal canal stopping at the external orifice. There is no fluid around the content. Findings suggestive of an indirect right inguinal hernia with reducible omentum as content. No signs of incarceration. Both testis documented in situ in scrotum with no other scrotal abnormality. Evaluation of contralateral side did not identify any inguinal hernia.
