My favorites were the braised lamb shank, bison orecchiette, and speck pizza!
What we ordered/ratings:
LAMB MEATBALLS - juicy and tender, loved the sauce, cumin yogurt agrodolce, a little sweet~
Rating: 9/10
RICOTTA FLAN - smoked chèvre, marinated tomato - thought it would be something new that I have never tasted before… so I was excited to try it, but it tasted like a softer ricotta in dessert form.
Rating: 6/10
CAULIFLOWER - butter, taggiasca olive, parmesan, calabrian chili, breadcrumbs - great textures, cauliflower was elevated, with a strong olive flavor but even my friends who don’t like olives, didn’t mind it too much…but if you don’t like olives, I wouldn’t recommend you ordering it.
Rating: 7/10
ORECCHIETTE - bison and pork ragu calabrese, fiore sardo - super delicious! Reminded my friend of the fantastic pasta in Italy! I personally haven’t been to Italy yet – I can’t wait to visit!
Rating: 10/10
BRAISED LAMB SHANK - toasted orzo, salsa verde, ricotta salata - the lamb was tender, well-seasoned, and the toasted orzo had a pleasant bite to it.
Rating: 10/10
SPECK PIZZA - tomato, smoked prosciutto, mozzarella, chili pepper, basil - I love thin crusted pizza, an absolutely fabulous pizza. I would recommend this over the Salsiccia pizza, which wasn’t bad, but I enjoyed this one so much more.
Rating: 10/10
SALSICCIA PIZZA - fennel sausage, sweet onion, mozzarella, red onion, chili pepper. A decent pizza, just not amazingggg.
Rating: 9/10
PROTIP: Make a reservation because it was bustling when we visited.
I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and if you come here, you probably will too!
I loved the open kitchen, the pizza oven, and our waitress was friendly and lovely! (I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a proper shoutout!)
