In Season 14 of Shark Tank, Tog Samphel wowed the Sharks with AnyTongs, a simple yet smart kitchen gadget. This product turns regular utensils like spoons or forks into tongs by snapping them into rubberized slots. Tog pitched his business, asking for $150,000 in exchange for 20% ownership.
The idea for AnyTongs came from Tog’s childhood. He remembered his mom making tongs out of clothespins and utensils during family gatherings. Inspired by her creativity, Tog designed a lightweight, budget-friendly product that costs just $2 to make. Sold at $19.99, AnyTongs ensures a solid profit margin while helping users save money and space in the kitchen.
During the episode, Daymond John offered $150,000 for 49% ownership, a deal Tog reluctantly accepted. However, the deal didn’t close. Despite this, the exposure from Shark Tank sent sales through the roof. Tog sold out of inventory almost instantly and expanded his product line to include multi-packs.
By 2024, AnyTongs had hit $1 million in lifetime sales. AnyTongs continues to thrive.
