How To Never Get Snagged Again!

Описание к видео How To Never Get Snagged Again!

Okay, okay we all get snags but some people get a lot more lures caught in snags than others! Ever wonder why that is? Its not random! In this video Matt Allen explains how to feel snags before you're in them and how to work your baits past them.

Whether you're throwing a big jig in heavy cover, flipping in heavy wood, or working a deep diving crankbait along the rocks, learning to feel when your bait is going to get stuck before it actually happens is critical!

Once you learn to feel them you can adjust your retrieve to avoid the situation. If you are using a floating crankbait, stop to allow the lure to float over the coming snag. If you're using a shakyhead, texas rigged worm, or other sinking bait you want to pop the bait up and over the snag before it becomes firmly stuck in the rock or laydown wood.

This method of avoiding snags requires very sensitive equipment. Its one of the rare times that purchasing high-end equipment is a must. Its expensive up front but you will save a lot of money when you stopping losing so much tackle.

The fishing rod Matt is using in the video is:

In this Video Matt is fishing a Dirty Jigs Tackle Stand Up Finesse Head ( shaky head ) coupled with a Zoom Trick Worm. This was meant to be a How to Bass Fishing Video but at the end of the video he catches a bass fishing the worm on a deep ledge. The key to the bite was to hop the worm up and over the rocks. The bass would eat it as it fell down the backside of the boulder.
