Members of the Capital Triumph Register Club got together to help fellow club member, JP, sort out some issues with his 1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500.
The cars previous owner bypassed the mechanical fuel pump with a generic electrical pump that is zip tied in place and wired to an on/off switch mounted on the dash. Also, a GM alternator was poorly wired and held in place by some homemade brackets. Both the fuel pumps need to be removed and replaced with a new mechanical pump. The GM alternator will be swapped with a factory replacement and wired correctly.
