These chino pants belonged to my husband and now with some weight gain no longer fit him. Rather than donate them to a thrift store, I decided to alter them to make them my own. For my next CBC Life episode (thank you for all the support you showed me on the first episode!), I demonstrate how to hem pants without a serger, which is a very practical and mindful life skill to have. For these pants after hemming, the hips fit me well but the waist needed some adjustments. Normally I would take in the waistband from the back, but since this pair already has an elastic waistband in the back, I chose to alter the front.
