Recommended leather weight for this projects is 4oz to 5oz = 1.6mm to 2mm. Best results with 5oz leather = 2mm.
A foot and a half of leather is needed for the body of the Medium size bag and 2 square foot for the Large size + crossbody strap. (The average length of an adjustable crossbody strap is 150 centimetres = 60 inches)
Hardware:
1 set of snap button 1/2in = 12mm
2 sets of grommets size #0 Eyelet: 1/4" = 6.35mm
2 Swivel snaps 3/4in = 20mm
2 sets of collar button
2 belt staples (thread can be use instead) This is to hold the keeper for the shoulder strap.
