Robidoux Rendevous is a 100-mile gravel race in Nebraska, pretty darn near to the center of the contiguous United States. Former winners include my friends Betsy Welch and Ashton Lambie, who both reported the event to be fun, gritty, and oh-so windy. So, I bolted aerobars and satellite shifters onto a Trek Checkpoint and set off to test my luck on the plains of Nebraska.

I was a little irritated with myself to finish last in a four-man chase group for seventh overall, but delighted with the event, riding with new and old friends.
