Remember!

GBV is underreported in all settings. Despite low numbers or a lack of available data, we should always assume that GBV is happening and threatening the affected population.

GBV assessments do NOT aim to identify individual or groups of survivors or whether GBV is happening.

GBV assessments DO help us understand: the specific GBV protective and risk factors, the gaps in quality and availability of response services, as well as resources and capacities to address GBV.
