This is an exclusive 20 Year Anniversary interview with mega-producer/rap artist DJ Quik in Compton, CA on the award-winning series, Straight from the streets produced and created by filmmaker Keith O'Derek. This Fox News segment aired on both Good Day LA and the 10pm News.
On-air anchor Christine Divine presented this wonderful story back in circa 1995. DJ Quik would later become the first producer/artist to receive a Key to the City Of Compton, CA.
What he discusses during the interview is still relevant today.
David Blake aka DJ Quik later went on to engineering rap music's most historic double album entitled "All Eyez On Me" by Tupac.
