Perhaps the most important feature ever released in one of Honeywell's all-in-one panels, the LYNX Touch series has never been upgradeable. When Honeywell releases a new feature, all previous systems are not given that feature. To date, this hasn't been an incredible burden, though it has left some heavier users of the LYNX Touch in the lurch. For example, when Honeywell allowed the new revision of the L5100 to begin utilizing the new garage door controllers. The old version was suddenly obsoleted, and not able to be updated to include new very popular feature. Flash upgradeability should change that! Now, when a new feature is released, if we understand Honeywell's commitment to the system, the new systems will not be obsoleted. Rather, they will inherit the functions they are capable of containing. We believe this is the most important new feature of these new panels.
