NASA Finds 6,900-Year-Old Crater in Gujarat 😲😲

India has a Crater that was likely created by a meteor strike roughly around 6900 years ago?!!! Yes, that’s what NASA says!

Impact craters are extremely rare. Less than 200 of them have been verified on the Earth. And Gujarat’s Kutch is believed to be home to one such site. US space agency NASA’s Landsat 8, satellite captured a picture of a roughly 1.8 kilometers-wide crater called Luna on February 24. Upon closer inspection, NASA found several rare minerals uncommon to our planet, including Iridium, which has been found at every confirmed impact crater so far.

The agency shared a zoomed-in picture of the crater on X (formerly Twitter).
The NASA team said that a meteor could have crashed about 6,900 years ago. There are remains of an ancient Harappan settlement nearby, but it is hard to tell if the crater existed when humans first arrived.
