I made a 1940's dress using a vintage PLUS SIZE pattern || 1940's Friendsgiving

Using a plus size pattern, NAY, using a VINTAGE plus size pattern. That's right y'all, I busted out one of my personal patterns for this week's video. I used New York 396 with a Bust of 44" to make vintage 1940's Dress. This dress was made with vintage 1940's (or early 1950's) fabric, a deadstock metal zipper and a lots of cursing.

My friends Sewrena and Drew Haydin Keelin invited me to be a part of their 1940's Friendsgiving (and yes, this video was supposed to go up in November) and I was thrilled. Despite some setback provided by technology and my desire to try new sewing techniques, I was finally able to finish the dress!

Pattern: New York 396, Bust 44"
Fabric: 35" width 1940's cotton
Zipper: 14" black metal zipper from the 70's
