Classic TV Theme: The Outer Limits (1995 • Stereo)

The 'Outer Limits' revival series lasted longer than I thought it would, but several key execs from the original series were on board as consultants and that showed an allegiance to the original concept of the show. Supposedly Howard Shore was hired to compose the theme, but it sounded too conventional so Mark Mancina and John van Tongeren created a more contemporary opener. That theme was used in the main titles for all seasons, and for the first few seasons it was heard over the closing credits as well. The end credits music was eventually replaced by a kinder, gentler theme, though I haven't found any information on who wrote it. The youtube copyright bot says it's called 'Inner Child' (FWIW the bot ID's the opening theme as 'Corner of the Eye').
